LECTURE 7
The circular economy has become a hot topic in policy and business debates - in the Netherlands, Europe and beyond - as a driver for sustainability transitions and future competitiveness. Business has a key role to play in turning the idea of the circular economy into practice. New circular business models, such as the move towards offering services that encourage reuse and recycling, are gaining ground as a possible business response. This talk will first explain the concept of circular business models, before proceeding with company examples, in particular zooming into the circular venture HOMIE, which Nancy Bocken co-founded, and Bioenergy - WiseSoil startup co-founded by Alexander Smotritsky.
